You’re already covered for emergency medical expenses outside of Canada. Please refer to your CF 100 medical and dental instructions.

But what if you have to cancel or return home early? What if your luggage is lost or have Visitors to Canada?

  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption – Tab 1 of 8 Trip Cancellation & Interruption

Already have travel medical coverage? Protect your investment.

You’ve spent your valuable time and money preparing for and purchasing your trip. But what if something unexpected happens, forcing you to cancel your trip or return home early? This plan can make a tough situation easier and help cover the costs associated with it.

Make sure your visitors are covered

Do you have visitors coming from another country? If so, they won’t be covered by our government health plans if they require medical attention – and that can result in very high medical bills. You can help them avoid that by suggesting – or protecting them yourself with – a Visitors to Canada Plan. This plan meets the mandatory Super Visa insurance requirements.

Anything can happen during months away from home

If you or your child is preparing to study abroad, that means many months away from home. Medical coverage is important, not just in case of emergencies, but for more routine medical services as well. After all, when you’re a student, it’s especially important to protect the cost of tuition in the event that a medical emergency prevents you from completing a semester.

This plan is available for students studying in another province, or another country, and students from another country studying in Canada.

Your PSHCP covers you for up to $500,000 in eligible emergency travel medical expenses. The coverage continues for up to 40 days after departure from your province of residence.

However, you still may have travel insurance needs.

Consider Top Up coverage to add more coverage if you travel longer than 40 days.

Also consider adding coverage like Trip Cancellation & Interruption.

Extend an existing plan

Top Up coverage allows you to purchase coverage for extra days if:

  • You already bought a Multi-Trip Plan from us.
  • You bought a similar product (often called an “annual plan”) from another insurer.
  • Or you have coverage through your credit card provider and/or employer.

Travel medical costs are covered while you’re on duty. But what if you’re on vacation? Your provincial health insurance will only cover a small amount of emergency medical costs.

So, find the plan below that works best for your family – you can cover not just travel medical costs, but also trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss, travel accidents and more.

  • Single-Trip Emergency Medical Plan or All-Inclusive Plan – Tab 1 of 8 Single-Trip Emergency Medical Plan or All-Inclusive Plan

These plans are ideal when you are only taking one trip within a 12 month period

Plans we offer include:

Single-Trip Emergency Medical Plan

This plan provides up to $10 million in coverage for expenses as a result of unexpected emergency medical attention required during your trip outside of Canada.

Both of the above are available to individual travellers or as a family plan.
